Deer Creek Wildlife is a premier taxidermy studio located in the heart of West- Cody, Wyoming. Our passion for the great outdoors and deep respect for wildlife drive us to create exceptional pieces that celebrate the beauty of the wild. We specialize in wild sheep and mountain game from around the globe. We pride ourselves on our commitment to artistic craftsmanship and anatomical accuracy. With years of experience, our skilled team is dedicated to transforming every specimen into a stunning work of art that honors the natural world.

 Our founder, Josh Hunt, discovered his artistic talent and passion for wildlife early on, leading him to a fulfilling taxidermy career. His dedication to the craft is evident in the accolades he has received over the years, including multiple "Best of Show" and "Judge’s Choice" awards. His outstanding work has even graced the cover of Breakthrough magazine, showcasing his talent to the world.

 Among his many achievements, Josh earned Second in the World with his life-size elk at the 2017 World Taxidermy Championship. His elk also received the Distinguished Taxidermist award at the 2017 NTA Championship, along with the prestigious Breakthrough award for North American Lifesize Large Mammal and Best Habitat with his life-size mule deer. In 2019, he and fellow artist Steve Werbelow won Best Collective Artist for a life-size whitetail deer at the NTA Championship. Josh has also shared his expertise by judging state taxidermy competitions across Utah, Wyoming, and Montana.
